Updated Dodge Magnum SRT-8 unveiled in Detroit

At this year?s North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Dodge showed off the new Magnum SRT-8 high-performance station wagon, an update of the original Dodge Magnum that appeared in 2004. Exterior styling is milder in this iteration, as squarer headlights and a less prominent crosshair grille define the front fascia. Elegant chrome strips flank the bumpers, and a hood scoop emphasizes the 425-horsepower and 420-foot-pound torque potential residing within the 6.1-liter Hemi V8 engine. At the rear, the taillights and bumper have been slightly reworked.

Inside, a redesigned instrument cluster is oriented toward the driver. Chrome accents and soft-touch materials are newly integrated, as are optional LEDs illuminating cup holders and map pockets.

Unmistakable Dodge Nitro styling far from ?sleep-inducing,? says company

In describing the all-new 2007 Dodge Nitro sport utility vehicle (SUV), the automaker emphasizes all of those attributes which the vehicle does not embody. Dodge Nitro is not just ?another SUV? with ?sleep-inducing styling.? It not all about looks, as the automobile is also functional. Nitro is not afraid to be powerful, does not avoid technology and is not shy in the global marketplace, promises Dodge.

?Masculine design? is essential to Dodge Nitro?s character, and features such as the large crosshair grille, swollen wheel arches, high body panel-to-glass ratio and available 20-inch wheels all push vehicular proportions to the limits. Trapezoidal headlights are elegantly split along a horizontal axis, while fender vents, blocky bumpers and chunky side-view mirrors emphasize mechanical capability. The Nitro is certainly a looker and will generate some serious neck twisting visual appraisals and more and more appear on roadways throughout the globe.
